Primc, Mary Ann R. #2 (20 NOV 1933 - 11 APR 2009)
Mary Ann R. "Tootsie" Primc, 75, Marshfield, Wisconsin, died on Saturday evening, April 11, 2009, at her residence, with her family by her side and under the loving care of Ministry Home Care Hospice. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., on Thursday, April 16, at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, Marshfield. The Rev. Peter Manicam officiated. Private family interment will be at a later date.
Mary Ann Rose Shupe was born on Nov. 20, 1933, in Loyal, to Lee and Verna (nee Domine) Shupe. She attended Loyal schools. She married Leo Stanley Primc on March 22, 1952, at the Courthouse in Neillsville. The couple made their home in Loyal/Greenwood area. After an accident involving her husband, she gave care to him and upon his death on Feb. 2, 1982, she moved to Marshfield.
She was employed at several businesses including Silvercote, Automated Products, Greenwood Bakery, St Mary’s Catholic Church School, Greenwood, as a cook, as well as a cook at the Village Plaza, Spencer, and at the Goodwill store, Marshfield. She was first and foremost a mother and homemaker and was full of energy and enthusiasm. She never had much time to spare, but always made time for her children. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Greenwood. In 1996, she had a massive stroke and was unable to care for herself. She moved in with her daughter, JoAnn. She had a wonderful and loving caregiver, Sandy Holroyd, to whom the family is eternally grateful.
She is lovingly survived by her children, JoAnn Marie Primc, Marshfield, William Stanley Primc, Phoenix, Ariz., Stanley Albin (Donna) Primc, Loyal, and Deborah Ann (Ralph) Kledehn, Arpin; six grandchildren, Michael (Kristi) Primc, Marshfield, Lori (James) Carlson, Rudolph, Joshua Olson, Marshfield, Kellie Kast, Reedsberg, Karrie Kledehn, Boston, Mass., and Kraig Kledehn, LaCrosse; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; and six brothers and sisters, Don Shupe, Ed Shupe, Lawrence "Toby" Shupe. Jerry Shupe, Evelyn Syth and JoAnn Shupe (in infancy.)
Hansen-Schlling Funeral Home, Marshfield, assisted the family with arrangements.
